Barney Frank escaped arrest for drug possession - he was lucky!

Today’s Moron – Barney Frank

Representative Barney Frank (D-MA), it has recently surfaced, was present at his partner’s home in 2007 when James Ready, his gay partner, was arrested for marijuana possession, cultivation and use of drug paraphanalia.  Ready ended up paying a civil fine for possession and had the other charges dropped. 

What is truly moronic is that a United States Congressman would put themselves in a situation like that knowing that if it came to light his opponents would be all over him.  And better than that, Barney Frank told police that he did not know the plants were marijuana because ‘he is not a great outdoorsman’ and ‘would not recognize most plants’. 

Come on, Barney, don’t play us for fools.  This guy is your partner – I am sure you share more than a little pot!  You can’t tell me that you are visiting this man in his home for quite a long time, and he grows and smokes pot and you have no idea?  Great way to screw up, Barney.  That just gives some sanctimonious gay-basher the ability to probably challenge you on your next election.  Not that they will be successful, but it will cast a light over what you do and illegitimize you in the eyes of many in the public.

Why don’t politicians just use their heads, a little, and try to stay away from the few things that they know will get them in trouble.  Drugs are one of those things.  I thought you were smarter than that, Barney Frank.  Moron.
